About Us

Balancing tech & real life: crucial to preserving our essence

Digital Overload Threatens Our Humanity

To help young and old take a stand against the overuse of the technology and live a full, and happy life, the TechnoLife Wise Foundation was established in 2017. It aims to raise awareness around, and empower people of all ages to say NO to screen and internet addiction, and YES to experiences in real life with all our senses and whole beings. These experiences enhance natural learning and development to optimise our unique and unlimited potential, while enjoying real life!

Dr. Marlena Kruger, founder of the non-profit organisation, became aware of how internet and social media addiction can destroy lives during her tenure as a tertiary educator and at the height of technology adoption in lecture rooms. In fact, she herself experienced the damaging impact of the overuse of technology on her physical, and mental health. It prompted her to study the detrimental effects that technology has on our mind, body and spirit – from toddlers to adults. Her research includes learning and neurological disorders such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Electronic Screen Syndrome (ESS), and its associated mental, physical and spiritual health. She uses different modalities to first assess and then address the negative effects with neuro-integrative therapy to achieve ongoing Digital Wellness and Wellbeing.

She also focuses on the health impact of the exponential increase of Electrosmog (electro-pollution) coming from manmade, unnatural wireless EMF radiation such as cell phones, cell phone towers, wi-fi routers, smart meters and other smart wireless devices. She also designed and developed a range of WoWe® EMF protective products.

Through workshops, talks, coaching, and online courses and programmes, Dr. Kruger and her team empower children, parents, caregivers, schools, and communities to make smart screen and techno-life wise choices. These choices ensure whole-brain learning and whole person development in a neuro-integrative way so that we experience living happier and healthier balanced lives in our digital-driven world.

We were thrilled to have Marlena as guest speaker at our annual Radiography Prize giving event. Her presentation contributed to the success of this prestigious event! What a wonderful person – her presentation was absolutely professional, exciting and so informative. The examples utilised are applicable to real-life and relatable to current situations. She had an impact on the audience (young and old) and has given them food for thought…and many are requesting her return! I would highly recommend Marlena to any school or organisation.
